A multi-family office is an independent organization that helps families preserve, manage and grow their wealth across generations. They benefit from independent advice, economies of scale and dedicated service.

We work with family offices and high-net-worth families. We provide a comprehensive solution to manage their entire wealth for a fraction of the cost of a single-family office.

We typically service clients who want to share family experience and exchange best practices and investment opportunities with other families. Other benefits include:

• Independent wealth advice

• Outsourced CIO

• Access to alternative investment expertise and analytical capabilities

• Exclusive co-investment and private market opportunities

The personal life experience of our founding partners gives us a deep understanding of your family situation. Everything we do focuses on the success and continuity of the family across generations.

Our professional networks allow us to offer exclusive private investment opportunities.

Our independence also means we can provide our clients with access to a broad universe of investment opportunities, such as private credit, private equity and real assets.

We charge a management fee based on assets under advisory or management. We believe this kind of transparent fee-based compensation is the best way to align our interests with those of our clients, as our revenues grow along with their wealth. Any referral fees or economies of scale are always passed on to our clients.

Yes, we are.

For us, being independent means avoiding any conflicts of interest and being transparent in everything we do. We believe that our revenues should only come from our clients. Therefore, any referral fees or economies of scale are always passed on to our clients.

Our recommendations and decisions are always motivated by your interest, and we are not incentivized to promote particular investment products or managers.

Ask for our Governance Framework

Our approach is flexible and adapts to your family and how much you wish to be involved in the management of your financial affairs. We know that some clients want to delegate as much as possible to our investment team, while others prefer to maintain a more hands-on involvement in their family’s wealth and investment management.

Ask for our Global Investment Framework

Assets are held with a custodian member of IIROC and CIPF, ensuring clients remain in full control.

When you sign a discretionary investment management agreement with Samara, you give us trading authority over your account, which means we can buy or sell securities in your portfolio, but not deposit or withdraw money.

For advisory mandates, we have no authority on your accounts.

Ask for our Governance Framework

We are committed to the privacy, confidentiality, accuracy and security of personal information entrusted to us.

All client information is encrypted and held on servers based in Canada, and we strictly limit access to it.

Ask for our Governance Framework

All client information is encrypted, segregated and accessed on a need-to-know basis. This ensures that sensitive data is not accessed by unauthorized individuals.

Our hardware is constantly monitored for potential threats, and we use multiple and redundant encrypted backup systems to ensure business continuity.

Ask for our Client Experience Framework

You will work with an experienced Family Office team that looks after only a small group of families, ensuring personal, dedicated and ongoing service.

We will develop a comprehensive wealth plan that focuses on your own family and financial priorities, and sets out a detailed action plan to achieve your goals.

Samara was founded in 2021 by Grondin Group, Walter Global Asset Management and W Investments Group.

We created a multi-family office so we could share our diverse yet complementary experience to help other entrepreneurs and families in Canada.
